Sitting on two acres of land the Brooks residence gains its inspirations from the prairie traditions developed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The house is marked by strong horizontal lines formed by stone stucco and deep overhanging roofs. The house stretches out across the small rise extending fingers out to create courtyards within walls and deeply covered verandas all of which begin to blur the boundaries between inside out bringing the owners into intimate contact with surrounding landscape.
