Offices
This new headquarters for a business management company that caters to the music industry in Nashville is a direct response to their desire to be anything but corporate in nature. Catering to a creative class of people they needed to convey a relaxed, inviting, and collaborative environment. This feel was achieved by exposing the rough industrial character of the adaptively reused 1940's warehouse, concrete floors, exposed duct, the reuse of industrial steel windows, and even a grange door to help make a conference room more flexible. Natural daylight was used to maximum effect to reduce the need for artificial lighting during the day. Also garage doors open to a courtyard and offices along the outside walls have operable windows to allow for fresh air.
